If there is anyone still subscribing, then hello! You know you've been gone from your own site for a while when you have to use password recovery to log in.

The reasons for my silence over the past couple of years have been due to a combination of intense writer's block due to anxiety about discussing work-related matters on my blog (to date, the source of most topics discussed here) and -- for the past 1.5 years -- being away from software development in my work (though I still try to keep up with what's going on).

Lately, though I have been feeling the itch to write again - and resurrect this site. So, what I hope to do over the next couple of weeks is flush out any old material still lying around, and then start writing again when I feel I have something useful to say.
